Good friend and world-class climber Mike Foley humored me with a photo concept I’ve been wanting to do for some time now. Thanks to Spenser Heaps for helping out with the lights.

“The Spot”

with one comment

A lot of my summer was spent with friends at a place that we like to call “the spot.” Its a great place to sit, relax, think, and be in good company. We had some great days at the spot this past summer and i can’t wait to go back soon.

Photo adventures with Sam

without comments

Over the summer Sam Walker and I would go for photo adventures every now and then. It was always more of an excuse to get lost and enjoy the local scenery.

Its always very refreshing to contemplate photography with Sam. Believe it or not, he doesn’t own a digital camera. He shoots all sorts of film formats and is always experimenting with new cameras, film, or fine tuning his darkroom methods. I have great respect for his old school style and perhaps, stubbornness? Despite coming from different photo worlds, I think we both bring great things to the table when bouncing ideas off each other.

Green Fields, Dark Skies.

My hometown motto is awesome.

I spent the majority of my summer at home in Lincoln, Ma. I’ve come to have an immense appreciation for my hometown over the years. It’s just 15 minutes outside of Boston but with all the conservation land, lack of street lights and fast food, you’d never know it. Henry David Thoreau had the right idea when he first tried to settle around Flint’s Pond in Lincoln (he later settled on Walden Pond which is partially in Lincoln as well). Its just beautiful.

I was also fortunate enough to have 2 of my best friends and Lincoln natives, Sam Walker and Ben Foley to hang out and adventure with for the summer at home. Although we went to schools in all different parts of the country, we still manage to see a fair amount of each other and I dont think that’ll ever cease. Without those two, my summer would have been pretty lame.

Below is a collection of images from the summer summer happenings in and around Lincoln that made for a great summer. enjoy
